The Lone Streetlamp is the coloquial name for a trial set up within the Western Suburbs. It was installed ten blocks from the last streets on the City Centre grid as a demonstration that the city can install the infrastructure required with minimal disturbance to local traffic. However, despite the apparent success of the project, budget cuts in 1994 left the project dead.
Nowadays, The Lone Streetlamp is said to have a spiritual connection. There are claims that at night, one might interact with someone who is not physically there.
